The period from 800-1400 A.D. was known as the Medieval Warm Period. That was the time when the Vikings made Greenland their colony and Scotland became wine producer as they grew grapes for wine business. Then entered 1400, the onset of the Little Ice Age wherein the Vikings decided to abandon Greenland because crops were dying and there's no food. There were untold famines also in China, North America and Europe.
The Little Ice Age was a period from 1600 to early1800. That was the time when River Thames became the place for frost fair from 1607-1814. In 1780, New York harbor froze that people would walk from Manhattan to Staten Island ( where the Statue of Liberty is now located) because there were thick solid ice under their feet. The summers back then were wet and very cold and crops were just failing everywhere. At one time even the North America Indian nations came together to combat famine and ration food among them. There were bread riots in Europe, hypothermia and more frequent violent storms causing more damage to their food production.
Thousands of years ago, there was the original Ice Age melted by the original Global warming. Then you got the Medieval Global Warming, followed by the Little Ice Age. And remember the 1970s hysteria? The hysteria was the supposed return of the Ice Age. Then same people advocating that hysteia came back decaded later to say there's global warming. The earth will always have its own temperature- hot, cold, normal. And the earth will continue to change its temperature with or without man's involvement. The inconvenient truth is, global warming is a hoax and the real climate change is winter, spring, summer and fall.
