The oil men of North Dakota makes $100,000 a year or more, a ridiculous amount of money if you're single and if married, sure provides a great comfort to your wife and children. While the rest of the country pays fast food workers the minimum wage, North Dakota pays $20/hour. Walmart pays $17/hour and restaurant servers are paid $25/hour plus tips. Long lines in restaurants and stores are the common day to day problem.

But if you live in crew camp provided by oil companies, you will pay only $600/MONTH. The housing problem also made other home owners tenants. Churches have turned their halls into sleeping area for people with no place to go and some slept in their cars.
